Soft Close
When installing your patio doors, you never have to worry about loud crashing noises every time you close the doors. Due to our new anti-slam Soft Close technology, our suppliers manage to make a safer, quieter and more exciting system.
Soft Close cleverly reduces the damage caused by vigorous use and the door itself. The small buffer at the end of the sash will slow down the overall momentum of the pane. With this option, you can improve the security and noise of your Wakefield home.
Lowered Thresholds
Government standards continuously rise to improve accessibility. All new buildings and some new renovations need to be made with lower thresholds for those who have reduced mobility.
Additionally, lower thresholds can help you and your family improve your home’s value and meet government standards. You can remove tripping hazards for younger children and the elderly! We take the little things into account to ensure that your patio doors serve you well, all through the ages.
Multiple Sashes
We can install 2,3, or even 4 panels for your next uPVC patio door project for larger areas that you need covering. We also supply triple track patio door systems for multiple panes to ensure that you get the best patio door service possible.
Due to these multiple sashes, you can create larger spaces between your Wakefield living space and the garden – ideal for hosting family events, parties, BBQs and family gatherings. Whatever you require, D&I can give you a range of choices to suit your preferences.
Weatherproof
Our uPVC patio doors can make your home incredibly thermally efficient (especially when upgrading to triple glazing). Our doors offer U-values as low as an outstanding 1.4W/m2K so that you can improve your home’s energy rating sufficiently.
Our patio door models have been rigorously tested for air tightness, water tightness and water resistance to ensure they are up to the highest British standards. You can find more when you look through our range of product brochures on our website.

Can you paint uPVC patio doors?
Technically, yes. But we don’t recommend it. The difficulty with painting your uPVC patio doors is that uPVC is not a good material for paint to adhere to and will show brush marks. In harsh weather, the paint can also crack. And painting a new uPVC door can be especially difficult considering the resins will make it difficult for the paint to bond to the surface. That’s why we offer a variety of colours that are weatherproof and long lasting, so that you can make the choice you want at the start.
If you’re looking for other materials, or colour options, just look at our aluminium patio doors, or aluminium bifold doors.
